How to write a price so the customer doesn’t think, “It’s expensive”
⠀
In some cases, you can use small marketing tricks to create an inexpensive-looking price tag.
⠀
Let me tell you about the most common chips, in case it comes in handy.
1. remove the gap between the sections of the number: units, tens, hundreds and so on.
Instead of 10,000 rubles, we write 10,000 rubles.
⠀
Reduce the number of numbers in the
10,000 rubles. write as 9990 rubles. or even 9.9 tons.
⠀
3. Reduce the first digit
9000 rubles. write as 8900 rubles.
⠀
4. If it is not possible to reduce the first digit, then reduce the second:
5500 rubles. write as 5490 rubles.
⠀
5 You can also reduce the letter part:
10 thousand rubles and 10 tr.
⠀
6 We add a premium package with a very high price tag that will work to psychologically reduce the price of our core product.
When writing this price, do not use the “reduction” rule.
⠀
7 Admission with crossed out the high old price and reduced new.
⠀
8. Price splitting: subscription payment, loans, installments
For example, 77 rubles a day.
⠀
9 You can compare your product with something understandable to a person.
For example, 500 rubles. with two cups of coffee.
Toothbrush for 2000 rubles. with dental services, which are clearly more expensive.
⠀
10.To show that the person will pay much more in the future if he does not use your product / service.
For example, the price of insurance for a car is compared to the possible cost of its repair.
⠀
11 If you specify another number next to the price, which is 10 times more, it will also shade and reduce the price, even if it refers to completely different parameters of the product / service.
For example, 500,000 watches have already been sold worldwide. Price: 3990 rubles.
The reception is less effective than the previous ones, but when it is very sad…
⠀
These methods of reducing and justifying the price are suitable for niches in which a low price is important for Central Asia.
⠀
In premium niches, sometimes you need to increase the price, so you need to give the status of the product, and then you can use the same techniques, but vice versa. Not all of them, of course.
