Google ADS: A New Option

Google ADS: A New Option

Google Ads now has an option to record and listen to calls from ads, so far only in the United States.

For 30 days, calls that start after clicking on an ad or extension with addresses and phone numbers will be saved by the system.

To enable the record, you need to open access to the account with administrator rights, set up call reports and confirm ownership of all unique ad domains and extensions for which the option will work.

To confirm a domain, you have to do a couple of things: link your Google Ads account to Google Search Console or add a unique conversion tracking tag or remarketing tag to your site.

The recording of the conversations can be activated in the account settings (“All campaigns” on the left panel) in the section “Call Reports” / “Storage call records for 30 days.”

The Google Ads interface allows you to play call records. To listen, you need to go to the Call Details report (“Reports” / “Standard Reports (Quick Statistics)” / “Extensions”).

You can’t download audio.
